Kitchen Renovation
When Matt first considered his kitchen remodel, the layout had a functional yet outdated look. The goal was to create an inviting space with updated fixtures, improved lighting, and enhanced storage.
One of the most significant changes was adding a new window over the sink, bringing in ample natural light.
The old cabinets were replaced with new timeless Waypoint cabinets, featuring a two-tone combination of Linen for the upper cabinets and Maple Rye for the base cabinets.
A new island was built, featuring cabinetry on one side and a beadboard around the back and sides of the island for a decorative touch. To further enhance functionality, hidden outlets were installed and three West Elm Henry Pendant Lights now hang over the island, creating a striking visual feature.
The countertops were upgraded to Della Terra Quartz in Calacatta Divine. This material extends around the new kitchen window and serves as a sleek backsplash beneath the cabinets.
A Blanco Diamond Single Basin Undermount Sink in white was installed, paired with a touch-activated Delta Stryke Faucet in Lumicoat Arctic Stainless, blending style with practicality and easy function for day to day use.
Fireplace Remodel
Matt's fireplace area transformed from a dark, confined space with a traditional stone fireplace and entertainment unit into a sleek, modern focal point with a clean, streamlined design.
A bump-out wall was built to center the fireplace, surrounded by TileBar Reverb tiles from hearth to ceiling for added texture. A custom hearth was installed below, finished with countertop material for a cohesive look.
A 62-inch gas linear fireplace was installed, replacing the older, smaller unit, giving a more contemporary feel. Above it, a custom stainless steel mantel was added finishing off the area.
To complete the new setup, electrical outlets were added behind the wall-mounted TV and inside the recessed area for a soundbar, ensuring a clean, clutter-free appearance.
Powder Room Vanity Area Revamp
In the powder room, the outdated pedestal sink was replaced with a sleek floating vanity from the Sollid Designer Series, featuring the Monterey door profile in a Honey Stain on Clear Alder.
This new vanity brings warmth and storage to the space. Top Knobs Bar Pulls in flat black were installed for a subtle contrast, and the countertops were upgraded to Della Terra Quartz in Calacatta Divine with a 4cm eased edge.
A modern rectangle undermount sink and matte black Delta Ara faucet were added. Above the vanity, Elegant Lighting mirror pairs well with the West Elm Sculptural vanity light, featuring a milk shade and matte black finish.
Matt’s remodel brought a modern, functional transformation to the kitchen, fireplace, and powder room. Updated cabinetry, sleek finishes, and improved lighting created refreshed and inviting spaces that matched his vision.
