We specialize in interior remodels, including kitchens, bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, whole home remodels, entertainment walls, living rooms, and aging-in-place upgrades.

Our planning-first process helps homeowners avoid surprise costs, unclear timelines, poor communication, and the common contractor nightmares that make remodeling feel risky.

Why Homeowners Choose Our Design-Build Remodeling Process

Most remodeling problems happen because the project is not fully planned before construction starts. Homeowners get vague estimates, unclear scopes, missing selections, and surprise price changes after the work is already underway.

Our design-build process is different. We help you plan the remodel before construction begins, including feasibility, design selections, 3D renderings, scope details, and pricing. That way, you can make informed decisions before committing to the construction phase.

With Phoenix Home Remodeling, you get one coordinated team handling planning, design, estimating, and construction. This helps reduce confusion, miscommunication, delays, and the common contractor nightmares homeowners worry about most.

Our design-build process helps you:

  • See your remodel in 3D before construction starts.
  • Make selections before the project begins.
  • Understand the scope before signing a construction agreement.
  • Receive fixed construction pricing after planning and design are finalized.
  • Work with one coordinated team instead of juggling separate designers and contractors.
  • Avoid vague bids, unclear allowances, and preventable surprises.

Remodel Projects That Are Not the Right Fit For Our Process

At Phoenix Home Remodeling, we focus on delivering a smooth, high-quality experience for every homeowner.
To maintain the craftsmanship, attention, and service we’re known for, there are certain types of projects we don’t take on.

If your remodel includes both qualifying and non-qualifying work, we may still be able to help with the parts that fit our process. However, if your project includes any of the following items and you want one company to handle everything, we likely won’t be the right fit.

We do not take on projects that include:

  • Exterior projects such as patios, roofing, landscaping, or similar work.
  • Home additions or extensions. Our team specializes exclusively in interior remodeling.
  • Garage conversions or detached structure projects.

  • Adding a bathroom that does not currently exist.  We will remodel a current bathroom, but we will not create a new bathroom that does not already exist in the current location.
  • Projects under $20,000. Our process is designed for remodels that include planning, design, and construction.

  • Single-scope projects such as only cabinet refinishing, flooring, or painting. These can be included as part of a larger remodel but not as stand-alone work.

  • Mixing new cabinets with refinished or refaced cabinets. Combining new and old cabinetry creates inconsistencies in color and finish. Because of this, we do not mix the two.
The one exception: if you plan to reface your perimeter cabinets and build a new island, we can help since the island is a standalone feature.
  • Insurance claim projects. We don’t use the pricing software insurance companies require, so we aren’t a fit if you’re submitting a claim for additional compensation.

  • Handyman-only work. We can replace light fixtures, fans, or other small items as part of a remodel, but not as individual projects.

Why We Set These Boundaries

Frequently Asked Questions About Phoenix Home Remodeling Services

What Remodeling Services Does Phoenix Home Remodeling Offer?

Phoenix Home Remodeling provides design-build remodeling services for interior home remodels in the Phoenix metro area. Our services include kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, shower remodeling, whole home remodeling, laundry room remodeling, entertainment wall remodeling, living room remodeling, aging-in-place updates, and other interior renovation projects.

Do You Handle Both Design And Construction?

Yes. We are a design-build remodeling company, which means we help with planning, design, estimating, material selections, and construction. This gives homeowners one coordinated team instead of trying to manage a separate designer, contractor, estimator, and project team on their own.

What Is The Benefit Of Using A Design-Build Remodeler?

Design-build helps reduce confusion, miscommunication, and surprise costs because the remodel is planned before construction begins. You can review the scope, selections, 3D renderings, and pricing before moving into the construction phase. This gives you more clarity and control compared to starting with a vague estimate.

Do You Offer Kitchen And Bathroom Remodeling?

Yes. Kitchen and bathroom remodeling are two of our main services. We help homeowners improve layout, storage, lighting, cabinetry, countertops, showers, vanities, flooring, tile, and other design details so the space is more functional, beautiful, and enjoyable to use.

Do You Do Small Handyman Projects?

No. We do not take on handyman-only work, small repair jobs, or single-trade projects. Our process is designed for homeowners who want a complete interior remodel with planning, design, and construction handled by one team.

What Types Of Remodel Projects Are Not A Good Fit?

We are not the right fit for exterior projects, home additions, garage conversions, insurance claim repairs, small handyman projects, single-scope projects, or remodels under $20,000. We focus on interior remodeling projects where planning, design, craftsmanship, and project management matter.

What Areas Do You Serve?

Phoenix Home Remodeling serves homeowners throughout Phoenix and nearby communities, including Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Ahwatukee, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe, Sun Lakes, and Laveen. If you are unsure whether your home is in our service area, schedule a call and our team can let you know.

Can You Give Me A Price Before The Design Phase?

We can usually provide an early investment range after learning more about your project type, scope, goals, and home. However, fixed construction pricing is provided after the planning and design phase, once the scope, selections, and details are finalized. This helps prevent the surprise costs that often happen when contractors price a project too loosely upfront.

Why Do You Charge For Planning And Design Before Construction?

We charge for planning and design because a remodel should not be built around guesses. The planning and design phase allows us to confirm feasibility, create a detailed scope, help with selections, prepare 3D renderings when needed, and provide more accurate construction pricing. It also gives you a chance to experience our process before committing to the construction phase. The cost depends on how many projects you want to complete.

Will I Be Able To See What My Remodel Will Look Like Before Construction Starts?

Yes. Your dedicated designer will include 3D renderings and detailed design planning so you can better understand how the finished space will look and function before construction begins. This helps reduce uncertainty and makes it easier to make confident decisions.

Do You Help With Material Selections?

Yes. Your dedicated designer helps guide you through design selections such as tile, flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, lighting, paint, and other finish details depending on your remodel. The goal is to help you make choices that fit your style, budget, and long-term plans for the home.

How Do You Help Prevent Surprise Costs?

We help prevent surprise costs by planning the project before construction starts. That includes clarifying the scope, reviewing selections, checking feasibility, estimating the project in detail, and providing fixed construction pricing after design is complete. No remodeling company can guarantee there will never be an unforeseen issue behind walls or under floors, but better planning dramatically reduces preventable surprises.

How Do You Communicate During The Remodel?

We use a structured process to keep homeowners informed before and during construction. Depending on the project phase, communication may include scheduled updates, progress photos, a homeowner portal, and coordination from the project team so you are not left wondering what is happening next.

How Do I Know If My Remodel Is A Good Fit For Phoenix Home Remodeling?

The best fit is a homeowner who wants a well-planned interior remodel, professional design guidance, a clear process, and one coordinated team handling the project. If you are mainly looking for the cheapest bid, a quick patch, or a single-trade repair, we are probably not the right fit.

What Is The First Step?

The first step is to schedule a discovery call with our remodel expert. We will ask about your goals, project type, location, timeline, and investment range. If the project seems like a good fit, we can discuss the next step in the remodeling process.
