Tempe Festival of the Arts in Tempe

Tempe Festival of the Arts has a 50+ year history in Tempe and takes place in early December and late March each year.  It is one of the oldest festivals in the Southwest.

The festival has grown to become a Tempe point of pride and a favorite of our residents and visitors.   Guests enjoy artists from around the country, local music, a Kids Block and many great food options - all located on the streets of historic Mill Avenue.

The Tempe Festival of the Arts is a well-loved community event that showcases over 350 artists from around the country.

This urban fine art festival features visual artists from around the country.  Interested in joining us?  The application is now closed for the Fall 2022 festival, but check back in October when we open the application for Spring 2023.

The festival presents well-known local and regional music at multiple locations throughout the event. More than two dozen street entertainers are on-site for your enjoyment.

You’ll find henna artists, musicians, magicians, caricature artists, along with other fun entertainment.

Individuals and Groups are welcome as volunteers at the Tempe Festivals of the Arts. Each festival requires about 350 volunteers to help manage on-site functions important to the conduct of the event.
