Kitchen Renovation
Wesley & Jessica’s Kitchen needed a full facelift. Their original cabinets featured a beadboard door style that was dated and very hard to maintain.
We started by refacing the cabinets. A simple white shaker allowed for a cleaner look and now they can spend more time cooking than cleaning.
After working with the design team, Wesley and Jessica decided to bring a warmer element to the design by providing a wall treatment of shiplap in a brown-grey finish to the sides and back of the island and wall between the kitchen and family room.
Their existing countertop was in great shape, so we were able to elevate the design by using a stunning granite on the island to give a little more depth to the kitchen.
The granite is called Whisper White from Arizona Tile. We installed a new Blanco granite composite sink and The Essa Kitchen faucet from Delta Faucet Company.
The backsplash installed were pulled straight from the colors of the granite. This cream and blue were highlights in the granite.
They like the tiles being laid in an offset pattern to maximize the look. The kitchen was completed by a new light fixture and cabinet door hardware.
Window Sill Bench Remodel
There was one other project they had for us. They had a built-in desk area that they never used. They wanted to convert it to a seat bench and a lounging area to relax.
We removed the cabinets and built a new seat bench. Then applied the same shiplap to the face and the wall around the window. Added a seat top and casing around the window.
They also asked us to install two new lights on either side for ambient lighting when reading a good book.
After the project was completed, their home began to shine again. It was a pleasure to work with Wesley and Jessica.
