Legacy Golf Club

Legacy Golf Club

A round of golf at the 18-hole Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix can round out a fantastic stay. After a day in the sun at the outdoor pool, you can unwind with a drink at the bar or lounge before returning to the hotel for a meal at the restaurant.

This hotel has two indoor tennis courts in addition to two outdoor tennis courts, a health center, and in-room amenities such as washers and dryers and sofa beds. Other tourists praise the overall value as well as the proximity to the airport.

Cocina Madrigal Tacos + Tequila

Cocina Madrigal Tacos + Tequila

Chef Leo Madrigal began his culinary career as a teenager in Mexico and has spent the last 30 years developing kitchens and menus in the valley. He was previously employed as a corporate chef at Z'tejas Grill, a major player in the Phoenix dining scene. He was also involved in the menu creation processes at Taco Guild, Hopdaddy Burger Bar, and Salty Sow.

Cocina Madrigal Tacos + Tequila specializes in handcrafted tacos, homemade enchiladas, fresh and bold salads, and other specialties made from scratch. See what all the fuss is about at South Phoenix's newest chef-owned restaurant!

Mormon Trailhead

Mormon Trailhead

Mormon Trailhead is a fantastic trail right in the heart of the city. The trailhead has a small parking lot, but it is frequently full on weekends. There may be street parking available, but large areas are clearly marked as no parking. There is a gazebo for shade in the parking area, but no bathrooms.

There are four trail signs along the way, and the trailhead is easy to find. Weekend mornings are busy on the trail, so if you get turned around by large rocks and lose your way, you can retrace your steps by following others.

The trail is a steady ascent with two or three flat areas that offer a welcome break if needed. This trail will get your heart racing, as the description suggests. Expect to see some people resting on nearby rocks.

Pete's Fish & Chips

Pete's Fish & Chips

Pete's Fish & Chips is a restaurant that has been in business for over 60 years. The restaurant's homemade sauce and fish dishes are well-known. There are giant burgers, shrimp/oysters, chicken, and homemade onion rings on the menu. The restaurant has a children's menu with items such as chicken nuggets, corn dogs, hot dogs, and super burgers with fries. The restaurant also offers a delivery service.

Pete's Fish and Chips Inc. received the Best Lunch Award from the East Valley Tribune magazines.

Los Dos Molinos

Los Dos Molinos

The phrase "The Hottest Food in Phoenix" serves as Los Dos Molinos' tagline. Despite being a long-standing local favorite, the New Mexico-style foods served at Los Dos Molinos are frequently on the spicier end of the Scoville scale.

Los Dos Molinos' staff takes their name quite literally. If you visit on the weekend, you should expect to wait in line for a table. The Machaca pizza is a good place to start, and you should try either the red or green chile as they are both excellent interpretations of the dish. Tangy guacamole, massive margaritas, chili-flavored ribs, and hearty serving sizes all contribute to a delightful meal.

Lindo Park

Lindo Park

Lindo Park has a large parking lot, baseball and basketball fields, sloping walking trails, and restrooms.

There are a number of large picnic ramadas. This is a lovely park that has recently added a Community Center for the benefit of the younger generation.

The playground equipment is adequate and age-appropriate. The surface of the playground is made of wood chips, but there is little shade over it.

T-Bone Trail

T-Bone Trail

The T-Bone Trail in the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve connects Pioneer Park to Cottonwood Springs Road and offers expansive desert views. This trail is suitable for a variety of activities such as walking, biking, and even horseback riding.

Mountain bikers will appreciate the challenging terrain and strenuous nature of the trail, which is ideal for honing their skills, while hikers will enjoy the rolling hills and expansive views. This hiking trail is appropriate for the vast majority of children and adults in generally good physical condition.
